We recently received a very interesting and significant document which had been in the Jim Sitz library. It is a register of Cunningham manufactured cars compiled by B. Bruce Briggs. Dated January 1982, the 29 page type written document was the culmination of work initiated in 1977 and orginally published in 1980. This is the author's introductory paragraph:

"This historical register of the automobiles manufactured by the Briggs S. Cunningham Company of West Palm Beach, Florida, during the period 1951-1955 was undertaken because the compiler obtained a Cunningham (15443) and wished to trace its history in order to locate missing parts. He shortly ran into a dead end and was obliged to trace all Vignale Cunninghams to pick up the trail earlier. He also became intrigued with the disputed question of how many Cunninghams were made. While the principal interest was in the Vignale-bodied cars, it was efficient to collect information on the others as well."

We present Mr. Bruce-Briggs work here as a service to those researching Cunningham history or even the history of a Cunningham they might own today. We scanned the orginal document and created a word index in Adobe Acrobat format, so you can search on most of the words in the document.
